چکیده
The photoinduced electron transfer is studied computationally in several Saturn-shaped inclusion complexes of carbo-aromatic rings and C60 fullerene – C72?C60, C96?C60, C120?C60, C168?C60.

Synthesis and photoinduced electron transfer in platinum(II) bis(N-(4-ethynylphenyl)carbazole)bipyridine fullerene complexes.
Platinum(ii) bis(N-(4-ethynylphenyl)carbazole)bipyridine fullerene complexes, (Cbz)2-Pt(bpy)-C60 and ((t)BuCbz)2-Pt(bpy)-C60, were synthesized. Their photophysical properties were studied by electronic absorption and emission spectroscopy and the origin of the transitions was supported by computational studies. The electrochemical properties were also studied and the free energies for charge-se...
متن کاملQuantum dot-bridge-fullerene heterodimers with controlled photoinduced electron transfer.
Molecular electronics has been growing rapidly, to a point where the ambition is to miniaturize conventional electronic devices down to the single-molecule scale. One of the essential components of the future molecular circuits is miniaturized power sources. A few reports have addressed this key issue by using a single nanowire as a low-power source for nanoelectronics, such as a piezoelectric ...
متن کاملPhotoinduced electron-transfer from imidazole derivative to nano-semiconductors.
Bioactive imidazole derivative absorbs in the UV region at 305 nm. The interaction of imidazole derivative with nanoparticulate WO3, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, CuO, ZrO2 and Al2O3 has been studied by UV-visible absorption, FT-IR and fluorescence spectroscopies. The imidazole derivative adsorbs strongly on the surfaces of nanosemiconductor, the apparent binding constants for the association between nanomater...
متن کاملPhotoinduced electron transfer between ruthenium complexes and nucleotides or DNA
The quenching of the luminescence of Ru(TAP)++, Ru(HAT)z(bpyp+ (TAP = 1,4,5$-tetraazaphenanthrene; HAT = 1,4,5,8,9,12-hexaazatphenylene; bpy = 2,2'bipyridyl) and related oxidising complexes by DNA, polynucleotides, and purine nucleotides occurs by reductive electron transfer. Laser flash photolysis provides evidence for the formation of the reduced metal complex and the deprotonated nucleotide ...
